My usual weekly rest day is a Friday.

Associate Minister, Alcester Mission Hub

My role

I am licensed to the Alcester Minster and am part of the whole life of the churches. However, my particular role is with the Mission Hub, where I am working on projects to equip these and other churches to grow and to find new ways of being church. The rural church is an exciting place to be, and has so much spiritual potential if we can release the strengths and gifts from within, and introduce a new generation of people to Jesus.

About Me

I grew up in Shropshire but have spent most of my adult life in Coventry and Warwickshire. I'm an engineer by training, but a jack-of-all-trades in practice. Highlights of my career include running an incubation centre which helped hundreds of entrepreneurs launch their own businesses, and leading a national charity which enabled school children to learn about food, farming and the environment.

I grew up a Christian, and since I was a teenager, have had a strong sense of God's call on my life. More recently, that call has been into ordained ministry and in particular helping the rural church to reclaim and reimagine its mission to the world.

I am married to Angela and we have three secondary-school-aged children. I'm learning to live more sustainably, so you'll often see me cycling around Alcester in a bid to reduce my carbon footprint!
