The Refurbishment Project by The Church House Development Committee begun 2008 and completed in 2016 has created modern facilities for the Alcester community in a central heritage area of the town. The project revealed timber frames of probably two 15th century houses one behind the other and subsequently joined together. In the late 19th Century, the back section was converted into stables for the Rectory and the front used for Church Mission Rooms. In 1910 the front was purchased by St Nicholas Church, and converted into its Mission Hall, opened in 1912. The modern refurbishment a century later has re-combined the whole property into one, providing modern facilities available for both church and community use.
A history of the building and explanation of the refurbishment project can be found here (opens PDF).
