A new Alpha Course begins on Saturday 10th January 2026. Over ten Saturday mornings, plus one full day on a Sunday, we will explore such questions as:
Is there more to life than this?
How can I have faith?
Why and how do I pray?

Who's it for? Anyone in school years 6-13 who would like to find out about the Christian faith or grow deeper in their own faith.
What's involved? It's informal and conversation-based with engaging videos and open to anyone whatever their beliefs. A great opportunity to explore the bigger questions in life. We meet for just under two hours, with food and drink to enjoy.
What else do I need to know? Some people in the group will be getting confirmed (making a commitment to their faith that 'confirms' their baptism promises, often made for them as babies). The confirmation service will take place within the Minster with the Acting Bishop of Coventry. Anyone in the group might like to consider whether this is something they want to do. However, taking part is open to everyone whether or not this is a step they feel ready to take.
What do parents need to know? There will be two DBS-checked and safeguarding-trained adults at each session. We will expect you to make your own appropriate arrangements for getting to and from the sessions which will take place in Alcester (Church House), and for telling us anything we need to know about medical conditions or food allergies.
How do I sign up? Email or call Revd Daniel Corlett daniel.corlett@alcesterminster.org 07599 647324 with the name of the young person, and for under-18s, details of a parent/guardian who we can contact for permissions etc.
