As a community of Christians, we want to grow together both in friendship and spiritually.
We have a variety of LIFE groups that meet in people’s homes during the week. They are a place of safety where we can be ourselves and develop deeper friendships with others than we might by simply coming to Church each week. We look at the Bible together, talk about what it means and pray. Some meet during the day and some in the evening, some meet weekly and some meet fortnightly.

Great Alne Monday LIFEGROUP
Great Alne Monday LIFEGROUP
When? 8 pm Monday evening
How often? 1st & 3rd Monday evening each month
Who is the host? Tricia Berry
Where? 40 Horton Close
About: We begin with coffee and tea with chat and catch-up followed by bible study. We finish with open prayer including prayer for each other. We would all describe ourselves as ‘charismatic’ and most are also ‘evangelistic.’ Group members take turns to lead.

What is happening in the group?: Previously we were studying the gospel of Luke, and we also followed a number of the Minster courses:
• Be Still with God – Lent 2023
• One Thing – Lent 2024
• Fruitfulness on the Frontier – Summer 2024
Following the courses, as is our norm, we turned from studying the New Testament book of Luke to an Old Testament, studying the book of Micah. We are currently embarking on a few evenings of discussion on the theme of Miracles as we lead up to Lent. For Lent 2025 we have decided to follow the Alive in Christ course. This will take us beyond Lent as we continue to meet twice a month.

About: The group, of around 10 members, has been meeting for a number of years. We use ‘Lifebuilder ‘ style study books. These cover both bible books and themes. The study is led by different members each week, however there is no pressure on members to lead. We have a prayer time after our study followed by tea/coffee and fellowship.

Where? In our home: 16 Eclipse Road, Alcester, B49 5EH
About: We are a relaxed group recognising people are busy at work and therefore try to finish by 9.30pm.
We begin with a cuppa and a catch up with each other followed by Bible study, learning from one another in a mostly discussion format. Then we share prayer needs and pray together - sometimes in peaceful silence, sometimes with spoken prayers. We aim to provide a safe space, a learning space, a growing in our faith in Jesus space and a loving space.

Where? Waterside Cottage, 1 Mill Lane, Great Alne
About: Our aim is for each of us to develop a real relationship with Jesus, recognising how much He loves us, and learning to hear His voice. Each session will include time to catch up, worship, reflection and prayer. Everyone is welcome wherever you are on your journey.

Great Alne Park LIFEGROUP
This group is just starting in Spring/Summer 2025. Fortnightly on Thursdays at 11.30am.
The group normally meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. On the first Thursday of each month, there is a communion service in the Events Room, open to residents and non-residents of Great Alne Park, and on the third (and occasional fifth) Thursday of each month, people meet informally to pray together.

About: We aim to put Jesus at the centre each time we meet. Our evenings include praising God in song, bible study, prayer and occasional testimonies. There is a close, caring interest in each other and we do everything with good humour!

Where? Various members homes, decided at each meet.
About: We know each other very well and support one another in prayer and other practical ways. We are very democratic as we all take turns to lead the study but there is NO pressure to do so. We all decide together what we will study. We would all say we have grown in faith and that the study is our greatest way of learning and being close to God. We find the discussions open an enormous amount of wide and varied subjects within our faith. We also laugh a lot!
